It’s an interesting shot and while the rig might be a “1954” model ,the front fender and grill really more resembles the front fender and grill of a CFD 1949 85 foot Aerial Ladder Tractor. Chicago’s 1953 FWD Engines and the Tractors of the 1954 and the 1956 85 foot Aerial Ladders had larger front fenders while the fenders of the 1949 Tractors were smaller such as the one pictured on this Garden Homes Engine.

I think he has three FWD tractors, not engines.

I wonder what happened to this pumper, as all of the CFD’s FWD’s, both Engines & Truck-tractors have become extinct, just like the Autocar Squads. The museum would love to get hold of this rig if it was still around.
