House fire in Winfield, 11-3-15

At approximately 02:45 on November 3rd, 2015, Winfield FPD was dispatched to a garage fire at Evans and Harrison. First arriving companies found a detached garage totally involved and extending into two split-level frames, both 25X50.

A box alarm was requested for additional manpower and the fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes using four handlines.

New engine in Villa Park

Here is a shot of Villa Park’s new Engine Co. 81. It’s a 2015 Pierce Impel with a 1,500-GPM pump and a 750-gallon water tank. Carries Pierce so# 28460.
