This from Brad Steinweg:
Photos and video from Highland’s house fire @ Wildwood AV & Bluebird LN on Friday (1/30/15). I arrived about 6 minutes in and very little smoke was showing. A couple of minutes later, smoke began pouring out from the eaves and mutual aid was requested from Munster and Griffith.

Mike, the LaFrance is not from Phoenix. Highland purchased it new. They also have an older LaFrance with the yellow/black paint scheme.

They really seem to have a fairly wild combination, partly oldschool Pittsburgh, partly Kern County..

If the question ever comes up in my Trivia Crack app, “what fire department has separate red, white, and yellow apparatus?”, I now know to answer the “Highland Fire Department”.

It seems that Highland Fire Department has a diverse paint scheme on their apparatus.
