This from Danny:
Came across this last night on google while searching for Chicago engine info
and from David:
Just came across this photo of a new Oshkosh Striker 8×8 equipped with Snozzle delivered recently to O’Hare. I’m not sure, but it seems like this news may be already a few weeks old. I think this is the first 4-axle ARFF unit to serve with the CFD.

There will be 3 assigned Snozzles now, 656, and the two new 8×8’s, 655 and 6510….

This rig is the second regularly assigned company at O”Hare equipped with a “Snozzle” boom. Until now only 656 at Station 2 (Engine 10 quarters) was equipped with a Snozzle on a regular basis.

Didn’t know that about the engines. As longtime CUMMINS shareholder all I can say is Bah Humbug. 🙁

I’m sure Deutz makes a good diesel but it would’ve been nice to see them put an American made engine in this beast!
