From the attached link:
“This engine first saw service at the Argonne National Laboratory, in Argonne, IL. Next it went to Grandview Park, IL which was annexed by Oak Lawn. It was then used by the Belmont Fire District which became part of the Darien-Woodridge Fire District.”
When Oak Lawn took over Grandview Park, this beast became Engine 3.

Belmont FPD merged with Downers Grove Estates FPD and formed the Darien-Woodridge FPD in the Late 80’s or Early 90’s. I believe they operated out of Belmont’s old fire house until it was closed when they began working with Lisle-Woodridge.
