This from Martin Nowak:
I stopped at the Palos Fire District Friday. Took pictures of their new Truck 6304 and Ambulance 6302. I also took pictures of their old A6302 which will become a dive unit. Thank you to the firefighters of Palos FD for allowing me to take pictures. Also, I sent my photo of the old Truck 6304.Truck 6304 – 2014 Pierce Velocity 105? Similar cause they are both built by the same manufacturer

It’s great to see a group of hard working, and well trained guys get the equipment they need to serve the community. Looks like 2 great new rigs!

The new truck looks somewhat similar to Pleasantview’s truck as seen here: https://chicagoareafire.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/7489843398_3c4a51782c.jpg
(small differences aside, such as cab color)
I’ve seen Pleasantview’s truck in person and it’s sharp as I imagine the Palos one to be.

The truck caught it’s first working fire last night, or so the crew told me, at a condo near 135th Street and Ridgeland in Palos Heights. They did not have to raise the aerial as Crestwood was there first. The rig is very impressive looking in person. Cool paint job and lettering. In my humble opinion, however, it is sorely in need of a Mars 888 or some other type of oscilating white light in the middle grill.
Unrelated note, the Palos Heights engine did some very impressive hose work to knock down what could easily have been a 2-11. A very narrow cul-de-sac complicated operations.

Thank you Martin. I really like the green light on the rigs. I see they even changed from blue to green lights
