This from CARMA CHICAGO:
Villa Park FD using new numbers on DU-COMM Fire EastStation 1 (unused, AFAIK) is just south of St. Charles Road on Home Avenue. The original West Suburban Fire Rescue Alliance numbering plan for DuPage County does show 81 for station 2 (north) and 82 for station 3 (south) with 83 and 84 being their reserve numbers and no mention of station 1 - but the original plan hasn't been followed much for numbering changes in the last year or so.
Villa Park FD is using new station and rig numbers on DU-COMM Fire East (154.415, 192.8 PL). I heard the tail end of a call where Engine 82 returned to quarters and Medic 81 went to Elmhurst Hospital. I believe they have two active stations and possibly a spare. It would seem that they're using 81 and 82 for their stations and front line rigs - does anyone know what number or numbers they're using for reserve rigs, etc.?
I show 81 for station 1, 82 for station 2, and 83, 84 for reserves. Don't they have an unused/old/semi-used station just south of St Charles in addition to the one near Roosevelt and the other one north of the UPRR?
The following is a list of Du Page County station numbering from CARMA Chicago:

There is no rumor of Div 20 switching numbers. It has been talked about for years. Initially it was by alphabetical order, then from north to south, then south to north…and so on, and so on. Only 3 deparments have done it. Bensenville took 17 and 18…not sure how they picked that. Schiller Park took 5 & 6, and STPK took 21 & 22. If we were all Dispatched by 1 dispatch center (8 of us have our own), and all had the same CAD (most of us don’t), then maybe it would behoove a number change. Personally, I don’t see why we would need to change. It’s only a number.

I don’t know if those hypothetical numbers for Hanover Park would work–considering that we don’t know what the spare numbers for Carol Stream’s rigs are. And they would need, at least, four numbers (2 for their stations & primary rigs, and two for all their reserve equipment). Roselle & Elmhurst might work, if Elmhurst agrees to change.

I keep hearing about all these number changes due to a new cad program by MOTOROLA , I think its because it handles two digit numbers better . You would think being so computerwise world we live in it wouldn’t matter , how many digits there are . ALSO BENENVILLE changed their numbers to 17 and 18 , SCHILLER PARK has changed their unit numbers to 5 for division 20 so far along with STONE PARK.

Rumor has it that Division 20 is switching to a DuComm style numbering system. Stone Park has already changed to 21 with reserves being 22.

Historically, Elmhurst has had their numbers since the 1970s when they had three stations. Bartlett switched numbers after Elmer Hecht retired as fire chief in 1994. The old Bartlett numbers were in the 600s.

I was bored and simply playing around with the remaining ducom numbers and took a guess , don’t know if right or wrong . ELMHURST 41 , 42 spares 40,43 ,just throw a four in front of numbers using already , like eng 1 now 41 etc .HANOVER PARK sta 1 is 24 and sta 2 is 25 spare 26 and ROSELLE sta 1 is 64 spare 65. just a guess.

Roselle, Hanover Park & Elmhurst have not switched numbers yet. Rumor has it that Elmhurst may be the last to switch because they want to keep their current numbers, even though Bartlett already has the numbers.

Bensenville is dispatched by NORCOM ( superior ambulance) on 154.370 division 20 . I Lombard fire department is suppose to be new unit numbers 44 , 45 and 46 . Addison suppose to be getting 71,72 and 73 probably 74 and 75 for spares . So DUCOM wont give out Bensenville 17 and 18 in case they ever join DUCOM for dispatch . So all we need to figure the new DUCOM numbers for HANOVER PRK , ROSELLE , ELMHURST . ANY QUESSES ?

Lombard will be switching in early January to 44 & 45 with 46&47 being reserve numbers. Addison is rumored to be switching in mid December

Drew–you are correct; Hanover Park uses numbers in the higher 300s. Roselle is still in the 500s; Addison is still using the 100s. Elmhurst is 1 and 2; I’ve also heard 3 & 4 (guessing reserve equipment).
Also, according to the last Radio Reference Wiki update for WSFRA/DuComm numbering, it shows Warrenville’s reserve number as 13. Lombard as not swtiched to new numbering yet; as of yesterday, they were still using their staggered numbering in the 40s-60s.

According to http://ducomm.org/fire/ Bensenville is not listed as being a member of DU-COMM. Also, DU-COMM lists Addison, Elmhurst, Hanover Park, and Roselle as members. I am unsure of what numbers each uses although I am fairly certain Elmhurst uses 1 and 2 for their apparatus and Hanover Park a 300-series.

For Oak Brook: “93” is Station 2, “94” is Station 1 and “95” is Reserve numbers.
