More than a dozen people were injured last night when a deck collapsed at a home in south suburban Tinley Park.It happened at a house in the 16700 block of Beverly Avenue at about 9:15pm Saturday.Neighbors say a birthday party was being held at the home and there were about 35 people on the deck when it broke away from the house and collapsed.Tinley Park Fire Department officials say 14 people were transported to local hospitals. They say the deck pulled away from the rear of the house and fell down. Adults and children were on the deck at the time. A neighbor says there was a lot of screaming and chaos. He saw several people with bleeding injuries but no one was trapped in the accident.

Trace does not call for assistance other than possibly an additional Trace ambo on a minor incident. Anything major like this, the FD will request an EMS Box or Plan (depending where you are).
Trace is on some box cards in Division 24 responding as a “Tinley” ambulance. You will also see Bud’s (formerly had the Tinley contract) throughout various Div 24 cards in addition to the towns that they cover (Burnham, Dolton, Glenwood, Lynwood, East Hazel Crest, Riverdale, Phoenix)

Well Trace is part of the Chicago Ambulance Alliance which in other name is called Ambulance Trans. Group. ATG consist of Trace, ATI, and Vandenberg ambulances. I work for ATI, but I have no idea if Trace calls for assistance from other fire departments or from ATG.

No they don’t. Trace have 3 or 4 ambulances in service in Tinley but most of the time trace doesn’t send the appropriate amount of buses.Trace is suppose to have their supervisor in charge of EMS OPS but in this particular incident their supervisor didn’t so… oak forest took EMS OPS. Which is just one of the many Strikes Trace has in Tinley .

So, since these mutual aid FDs send ambulances to Tinley does Trace go to other towns mutual aid for Tinley to reciprocate? And does Trace supply more than two ambulances to Tinley in these types of circumstances? Just curious since I am not familiar with the use of a private ambulance in this fashion. I know it is somewhat common in the south/southwest suburbs but not so in the northern suburbs.
