I arrived about an hour into this fire that consumed a large building that took up the whole Southeast corner of 154th and Broadway. Chicago sent their foam unit along with Engine 26 and 5-1-5 but they weren’t used. Here are some of my shots with the whole gallery on my site @ Harvey 3-11 Alarm @ 154th & Broadway

From Josh Boyajian:
Yesterday we took in Harvey’s Fire @ 192 e. 157th st. We were coming from Merrionette Park so it took us a little bit. When we got there, Harvey was on the first floor working but still had heavy fire showing from the 2nd. Crews had a hard time getting a knock on the fire due to the construction of the house, but kept it from spreading to the adjacent house to the east. Here are some of my pictures.Full Gallery is on my site.-Josh

The NWItimes.com has an article about a new deputy chief in South Holland:
[South Holland] village officials said Monday they upgraded their fire department with the approval of a former chief from suburban Orland Park to be the new deputy, while ignoring the fact the chief was forced to retire last year amid claims he improperly used computers owned by the fire district to view sexually-explicit materials.
The village board on Monday voted 6-0 in favor of hiring Bryant Krizik to be the fire department’s new deputy chief.
Krizik has been firefighting for more than three decades — 24 years of which were with the Orland Fire Protection District that covers southwest suburban Orland Park and Orland Hills. With the district from 1989 until last year, he rose to the rank of fire chief administrator.
Village President Don DeGraff said he thinks Krizik’s experience will enhance the South Holland department.
Krizik retired his position in 2013 following a three-month investigation of the chief’s behavior, which published reports at the time said included claims that he used district computers to download or view pornographic materials. Although when the Orland Fire Protection District accepted the retirement, they also released a statement saying they had not found evidence of wrongdoing.
Krizik was chosen from among many applicants who sought the job since this summer, when then-deputy Brian Kolosh was promoted to fire chief.
Krizik has also been an instructor and advisory board member at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, and has been coordinator of the incident safety officer program for the Illinois Society of Fire Service Instructors.
Both station listings for the South Holland Fire Department have been updated to add the missing images of the stations and the balance of their apparatus.
