More on the 3-Alarm fire in Schiller Park 9-26-19 from Steve Redick:
Took this job in the other night around 2300. A self storage facility. Fire eventually involved almost all the units in the building. It was amazing how rapidly the fire spread. Lots of forcible entry and saw work under smoky conditions.

9/26/19 – 3-11 Alarm Fire @ 3902 River Rd.
Schiller Park had a fire in an outside storage facility. First companies arrived to find 2-3 storage lockers going. Engine 5 backed down and lead out a couple of lines but the fire had already advanced to other units. The alarm was elevated to a Box Alarm bringing in more companies but the fire was really taking off. All in all, it was upgraded to a 3-Alarm fire. Multiple companies from neighboring communities were put to work. A lot of hard labor and forcible entry was executed to try to get this fire in check. I believe in total, there were 7 or 8 hand lines lead out. We arrived just before the Box Alarm was pulled.
