This from Eric Haak:
Here are some shots from yesterday’s working fire on the 5600 block of South Princeton. I got there as the aerial was being raised and, although the 17th battalion reported that he had a fire, I did not see any signs of one when I was walking up. Appeared to be a one room fire on the second floor and as I got to the front of the building, it was mostly out. They held the roof but I believe they did take out the sky light. One nice side note is that a small puppy was rescued by companies who made entry and returned it to a very grateful young girl. Engine 84 had a hydrant, Engine 47 had a line stretched but not charged, and Engine 50 responded as well. I believe one of these companies were returning from fuel at 65th & State which was the reason for the third engine.
