As of January 1, 2013 the Bensenville Fire Protection District changed their numbering system. The station located at 500 S. York road is now Station 17. This Station houses Battalion 17, Squad 17, Tower 17, Medic 17, Utility 17, Utility 18, and the reserve engine.

Photos taken by Don Tessler at Carol Stream’s Box Alarm in the early hours on Friday.

From the Daily Herald:

An early Friday morning attic fire in Carol Stream left a house uninhabitable, authorities said.

Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire at 601 Nez Percé Court after midnight Friday, according to the Carol Stream Fire Protection District.

The house sustained extensive damage.
