Pictures & video from Cedar Lake’s 2-11 on U.S.41 last Thursday night (10/22/15). The fire was in a commercial building, which was a total loss. Public works was sent over with a tractor to demolish the walls as a truck company worked on cooling down the hotspots. The cause of the fire was unknown at the time. Mutual aid included Lake Hills, Lake Dalecarlia, Lowell, Highland, Dyer, St. John, Schererville, Center Township & Tri-Creek EMS. Along with a tender, Lake Hills also brought their squad with a cascade trailer for refilling air bottles on site.
