Two teens and one firefighter were injured in a 2-11 alarm house fire early Wednesday at at 11361 S Edbrooke Ave in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood.

The fire, which spread across two floors of the home, took approximately two hours to put out. A total of six people were inside at the time of the blaze, with four able to exit without injury. Two teens who were trapped inside were transported to a nearby hospital, with injuries ranging from minor to serious.

A firefighter was also inured in the blaze, suffering first and second degree burns to the face piece area.

A Chicago firefighter suffered superficial burns while battling a blaze in an Austin neighborhood building early Tuesday after firefighters responded about midnight to the two-story building with fire on the second floor in the 5200 block of West Quincy. He was taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital. The still-and-box-alarm was struck out by 12:15 a.m.

A Chicago firefighter was injured after falling at a house fire in the city’s South Austin neighborhood. The fire started in the back of a house on the 4800 block of West Ferdinand Street around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The firefighter was on the second floor at the time of the fall, and leaned on what he thought was a wall but instead was a window. He fell two stories and was transported to Stroger Hospital with three broken ribs in his back and one in the front.

His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

CFD firefighter injured at fire

The Chicago Tribune reports that:

A firefighter was injured this morning at a fire on the South Side in the city’s Canaryville neighborhood, officials said.

Firefighters were called to the 2½-story frame building at 734 W. 47th Place about 9:30 a.m.   Three lines were used to extinguish the fire, said fire media spokesman Rich Rosado.
