McCook Full Still Alarm 2-20-13

This from Josh Boyajian:

McCook had a full still tonight at 9550 w Sergo. Companies were initially dispatched for an AFA and arrived to find a fire inside a 200×50 non-combustable building. McCook upgraded to a Full Still Alarm which brought in more surrounding auto aid. Later in the incident, command requested a Mabas 10 investigators box along with their MVU stationed in Lyons. Here are some pictures.

Box alarm in Brookfield 11-4-12

This from Drew Gresik:

Hello,
I took in the Box Alarm in Brookfield last night on Woodside Road. By the time I arrived the fire was pretty much knocked and the crews were beginning to overhaul. I did see one female patient being taken on a stretcher to the Oak Brook ambulance, but I do not know if she was transported. There were two lines stretched by Brookfield Engine 421. Here are some images of Pleasantview 1539, an E-One 75′ RM Quint, McCook 1411 Spartan Gladiator Luverne Engine, 956 Summit’s 2011 Ford F-450/Wheeled Coach Ambulance and 2 photos of the scene and fire building.
My photos are posted HERE
Thanks. Keep up the great work with the site!

Riverside Full Still Alarm 8-2-12

This from Drew Gresik:

Today I took in Riverside’s Full Still at 340 Selborne Road. The fire was knocked by the time I got to the scene, but there were some great photo opportunities for the apparatus that were on scene. I believe there were 2, possibly 3 lines stretched, and Riverside’s Truck 1629 went to the roof.
The ambulance was formerly 1614 but now is 1624, a 2003 Ford E-450/Medtec.

Industrial fire in McCook 1-30-12

The McCook Fire Department responded to an industrial fire this afternoon (Monday) at 9550 Joliet Road. They encountered fire inside a tool manufacturing facility and upgraded the alarm to a Full Still bringing aid from the Pleasantview and Tristate Fire Protection District, Brookfield and Lyons Fire Departments. Evidently while an employee was welding, sparks or embers traveling into a vent ignited the filter. Flames then spread to nearby pallets.

The fire was contained to a relatively small area and produced a significant amount of smoke throughout the plant. McCook called for the new MABAS Division 10 Mobile Ventilation Unit housed in Lyons to help clear the facility.

Tim Olk was … on the scene shortly after the fire came out and submitted several images.
