I stopped by Arlington Heights and grabbed some photos of the new Tower 1. It is not yet in service. This is a 2014 Pierce Dash CF PUC 1500/300 with job #27342. It is reportedly the first Dash CF PUC tower ladder … with Niles running a close second.

Matteson | 4020 216th St | Tower 5 reported light smoke showing from a 2-story apartment building. Matteson, Frankfort, Richton Park, Park Forest, Oak Forest, and Flossmoor were all on scene.

Evergreen Park had a working fire yesterday @ 9337 s Trumbull. Engine 49 arrived onscene with smoke showing from the second floor. They made a quick knock while Truck 44 made the roof and vented. I got there about 45 into it. Here are a couple shots i took! Thanks Josh

Lincolnshire repaints apparatus

As previously mentioned, the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District is changing their apparatus from red with a white roof to red with a black roof. The new Pierce quint arrived with the new scheme and they have since been working on the other front line rigs. Engines 51 and 52 have new paint and graphics and the squad is mid-change as shown below.
