Excerpts from wgntv.com:
The Evanston Fire Department’s Office of Emergency Management hosted an emergency preparedness fair equipping residents of all ages with practical and life-saving tools.
One of the hands-on trainings offered included learning CPR.
Firefighters also showcased a drone. The technology is now used quite often when searching for someone or surveying a disaster scene. Several agencies and organizations were at the event to share information about cybersecurity, gun safety, and suicide awareness and prevention.
Firefighters refreshed residents on what to do in case of a fire, while representatives from various groups shared crucial information about safety during a natural disaster, how to stop a severe bleed and what to do in the event of an active shooter.
