Tinley Park FD added a new battalion buggy to their fleet in July. Battalion 49 covers the south-west portion of Tinley Park and is staffed out of station 49. Battalion 49 is a 2020 Chevy Tahoe.

Well, we have good news and bad news! Bad news first…we currently do NOT have any Oak Forest fire apparatus “in-service”.Our neighbors to the west, Village of Tinley Park Public Safety and Orland Fire Protection District, IL are each letting us use an engine to keep from a break in emergency services.The good news, we’re being told we have allocated funds and a thumbs up to purchase new fire apparatus! We are happy and hoping to move forward with that process as quickly as we can.

Orland FPD put their new utility in service in July/August and it has been catching calls left and right. Utility 1 is a 2024 Ford F-350.
