Well it’s sort of academic now since E-ONE and SPARTAN are part of the same company now.

If you get on fire service Inc web site there are a few E-ONE engines on SPARTAN chassis ……..

Thanks for sharing Mike. Besides these twins Frankfort had, North Palos and Chicago Ridge had nearly identical triplets (803, 813 & 6533) with Detroit Diesels and the ground ladders stored flat in a compartment underneath the hose bed. All had booster reels as well. Chicago Ridge’s ended up being sold to Fox River Countryside. North Palos sold one of theirs to Phoenix, IL and I believe the second one went out of state.

That looks great. I remember those days when you could have a SPARTAN chassis with any of the builders. SPARTAN mostly was for the builders who didn’t have their own custom chassis but I’m sure even PIERCE could be had a SPARTAN or DUPLEX.
