I don’t like the door handles and the new strip light between the headlights and flashing lights

Things are shaking in the big city. I stopped at a firehouse yesterday. With talking to the guys. The union is working out a plan to maybe implement a 4th platoon. The re opening of shuttered firehouses could be in the works also. It wouldn’t surprise me if a new vendor could come soon. The shop has a young staff with fresh ideas. Keep your eyes on the MFD. Just saying.

The mechanics have been pushing for something other than Pierce for a few years but the administration kept pushing for Pierce. This decision was not made strictly on quality issues with Pierce but also the fact that E-One will be able to deliver the rigs sooner.
To my knowledge, MFD has some Pierce rigs on order presently.

Maybe having REV corporate located in a neighboring community had some influence?

Maybe they switched because they wanted to get the rigs delivered before the end of the decade.

This is certainly breaking news for Milwaukee. Never imagined MFD would ever switch away from PIERCE after nearly 25 years. But then again there was some talk of going to SEAGRAVE several years ago. So perhaps this was a long time in coming. Hope it works out and time will tell but CFD seems happy with theirs.
