The Wilmington Fire Protection District will be operating at a second location.  The fire district said they will begin staffing and responding to emergencies from their new Station 2 located at 29745 Elion Boulevard on Monday, August 10^th beginning at 7 a.m. An engine and ambulance will be assigned there with initial staffing of between two and three firefighter/paramedics and firefighter/EMTs.

Station 2, located West of Interstate 55 in the Elion Logistics park, will provide service 24 hours a day seven days a week to the citizens in their district.

An open house will be scheduled at a later date once they are all in a better position to gather more safely.
