Lockport’s website still shows their Chiefs and team coordinators using the 1100 series numbers.

Bill – Typically whoever dispatches them designates the numbering. For example Hoffman Estates rigs and stations are all numbered in the 20’s but the BC is battalion 6 and all the chief’s radio numbers are in the 600’s. They were the 6th town to join Northwest Dispatch. Their police units all start with a 6 too

Hunter is correct. Under the old Des Plaines Valley numbering system, Lockport was 1100 series so they have Batt 11 now.

Probably from the past years maybe but Chiefs are 1101,1102, and 1103.

Does anyone know why it is Battalion 11, if they are Stations 1-6? Just curious.

Great shot. Can’t wait to see engine and ambulance 2 in service.
