Three people are dead after a private ambulance crashed in west suburban Bellwood. Authorities say the ambulance driver and a patient were killed in the incident and an ambulance attendant who was critically injured later died.

Police say the driver lost control of the ambulance around 3:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon and ran into a building at 28th Avenue and Washington Boulevard.
