As mentioned earlier, Cicero EMS is provided by Superior dba Metro. Cities get new ambulances all the time, because it keeps each municipality happy, and Superior doesn’t lose any money as the vehicle is simply repainted, and assigned to a private EMS crew. A good deal of the former Metro fleet is still running, many of which have their original colors. The yellow Elmhurst FD Ford Wheeled Coach unit’s M1 and M2 are assigned to Superior BLS crews in Schaumburg and Elmhurst, while the Sprinter Cicero used to have is still painted FD red, and goes up ALS in the Dupage area.

I know they switched to Metro Paramedics a few years ago. I wonder if Metro buys their ambulances or not.
