It is NOT common for Pierce to make one vehicle between the Florida and Wisconsin.

Just a quiet observer that listened to people on both sides of the fence and came to his own conclusion

Does look sharp. Shouldn’t make any difference where something is built but it could be a case a miscommunication somewhere along the line in the case with PIERCE whether it was a distance of several hundred miles or across the hall. PIERCE no longer offers the CONTENDER custom line as of 2010 so perhaps it was a flub. It was designed more of a quick low cost custom for departments that needed one in a hurry.

It is still a sharp looking Engine, What kind of problems have they had? Is it common for Pierce to build the chassis in one place and the body in another? Could that have something to do with any of the problems?

It’s a saber, not an enforcer first off. But they took the economy cab/chassis from pierce and tried to customize every single aspect/dimension of the damn thing and added every goofy bell and whistle they could. Like if you took a cavalier and tried to make it an escalade….just setting yourself up for failure if you ask me! Anyone that’s ever gone over a DG rig would know what I’m talking about…just pure ridiculousness. Nothing against the dept or the guys tho. Great F.D.!

They ordered a Ferrara MVP to replace Squad 1 and Engine 4 (ex-E3) a reserve 1995 Pierce Saber. Then the rumor is that Engine 1’s 2007 Pierce Impel will move to Station 3 and the current Engine 3 will move to reserve, its is a 2005 Piece Enforcer with over 110K on it. Now Engine 5.. is a 2014 but not really put in service til 2015 but has been nothing but problems since the Enforcer chassis was built in Appleton, body in Florida Contender plant. There were legal issues where the village almost pulled the performance bond and was going to send it back to Pierce. There was an agreement made and it is pretty much a bumper to bumper lifetime warrantee

Didn’t they just order a Ferrara engine?
