This from Eric Haak:
The Burbank Fire Department had a house fire just before 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (7/28). A mayday was called and the alarm was elevated to a Mabas Box. I arrived 10 minutes after the mayday to give you an idea of conditions. There were no firefighters injured during the incident and officially, I did not hear the reason for the mayday. As you can see, the fire was pretty much out but I thought I would submit some images anyway.

Overheard that as the Hometown and initial Burbank crew operated inside, one of the rooms flashed over either next to or behind them, resulting with a Mayday being called by the interior because of the heavy volume of fire. Luckily no members were injured and exited safely, changing the incident to exterior operations.
Burbank Engine 204 was involved in a T-Bone accident a few blocks away while responding to this.

What happened to 204’s bumper?

It was reported that they were in an accident on the way to that fire. I didn’t hear that personally so I did not include that in the write up but still included the image.
