The main point of the photo is as some have said the “TEAMWORK/BROTHERHOOD” aspect! This is quickly disappearing from many Dept’s thruout the entire U.S. I’m not saying its a blanket negative of all Departments. I’m sure some of the posters on here are probably current or former members and would probably agree with me about some values that are being lost!
The history of this photo is it is from the lumber yard fire on Northwest Highway. Most co’s waiting as master streams worked. So what if a rusty old spare, everyone helps to work together. This was only one example of all helping for what is supposed to be a “brotherhood” and being a team! There where many other examples that day. “Work smarter not harder” and everyone goes home- SAFELY and as they started the shift!

Hey, I WISH we had that many folks to put a 28′ back, let alone a 35′!
Good teamwork, everyone’s helping, and some laughs to boot.
All Good.

Whether it takes 2, 3 or 7 members to put a ladder back on the rig – not only is it safer for everyone as it lessens the load a little. But…sometimes it’s about the comradery too, is it not?
I have seen pics and video of the FDNY repacking hose on an Engine company, and there was a line of 5 to 7 members standing behind the Engine, draining and passing the hose up to the couple of members on the hosebed repacking it.
Does it not happen in the CFD, where an entire company or even more get together to pack hose after a fire? Or does only a “coupla guys” repack hose after a job? I am sure it does, I’m being a little sarcastic.
It’s all about the Brotherhood/Sisterhood comradery, right?…Sometimes it’s just that simple, everyone. Can’t we all just get along? 🙂

People on TV break down doors without getting hurt and some people on TV get killed but then come back in a later episode as the twin.
Network TV often has to serve the lowest common denominator so it has to make the entire fire service as a bunch of perverted pukes.

They’re saving their energy for when they get back to the house and hook up with those ambulance hotties. I know because I see this on TV.
