Tim, First of all, the image itself is amazing but it made even more special for the reason for it honoring a true hero. I just want to thank you for taking your time & sharing it with us.

That’s always very moving when they do that. Every time they have an Honor Flight they do carry out the water arch. Very hard not to get a little choked up and that’s the least we can do for our vets.

Missing overseas for 73 years, an American POW who perished in World War II is finally going home.
Last week, the Pentagon officially identified the remains of Pvt. Arthur “Bud” Kelder, who died as a Japanese prisoner in the Philippines in 1942. After the war, the U.S. government buried him and thousands of others as “unknown” soldiers in a war memorial cemetery there.
The Chicago Fire Dept Will Be Giving Him A Water Salute And The Patriot Guard Will Be Escorting The Remains To The Funeral Home.
