Saw the 2 new Glenview ambulances (ambos 6 &7) in transit, & those scene lights actually flash, & are part of the “flash package” while the vehicle is in transit. There’s a you tube video at station 6 that shows it. Pretty cool.

The scene lights on the front of the Ambo are designed for reading address numbers at night while they drive down the street. That is an option that Horton Offers.

Thanks to all of you for your answers & insight. I’m certainly no expert–just a respectful fan…..
I really love the paint scheme & lighting on those Glenview rigs!

I’ve never seen such lights on any other ambulance before, other than on Glenview’s. Are these unique to Glenview’s?

There’s a good number of ambulances with some variation of scene lights on the front. It’s not terribly common but not unique either. It’s also useful sometimes so it was a good move by those who spec’d it.

Umm Bill.. The ambulance he is talking about not the dive van. The ambulance has 2 LED scene lights angled out to the front sides of the front of the box.

the only DIAGONAL items under the lightbar are the Brackets for the lightbar. The small light under the lightbar is the Preemption Strobe ” Opticom” light .

Anybody know what those diagonal lights are, under the lightbar on the front of the ambo?
Also, anyone know if the former ambulance 7 (the one replaced by THIS unit) will become the new reserve ambo….& the prior reserve unit (former ambulance 6) will be disposed of…?
