MABAS 7 Swap Meet

This from Steve Redick:

I finally got a chance to take this in. It was very nice, much bigger than I expected. Rig shots were very hard to come by but got some cool stuff. The engine lettered for Rockdale does not belong to them from what I understand. I was happy to finally get to see the Peotone Snorkel.

Joliet FD Live Burn Training

This from Code Photography:

We got the opportunity to take some pictures for Joliet Fire Department this past week as they had three days of live-burn training in a house owned by the City of Rockdale. At one point they accidentally had fire in the attic which they got some real good training taking care of. Here are some of the photos:

Detached garage fire in Prospect Heights, 5-3-15

This from Larry Shapiro:

The Prospect Heights FD received multiple calls for a detached garage on fire at 240 E. Camp McDonald Road Sunday night (5/3/15). Flames could be seen from Station 9, less than a block away. The three-car, 1 1/2-story garage was fully-involved and was reported to have a 55-gallon drum of racing fuel and acetylene torches inside.

Engine 9 dropped two lines and Tanker 9 setup to nurse the engine. Engine 39 dropped a supply line to a hydrant approximately 1/3 of a mile away as Long Grove Tanker 55 arrived to continue nursing Engine 9. The bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly, and the other tankers were released from the staging area.

When I arrived the roof had collapsed and there was still some visible fire.
