This from Bill Friedrich:
Good afternoon all. Here is a group shot of the two Pierce Sabers River Grove purchased. Just recently the River Grove FD purchased a used 1999 E-One Hurricane 1500-500-30f from the Schaumburg FD. x-Engine 4Bill

Nothing mysterious… That engine was nothing but trouble and had maintenance issues. It was not a Pierce issue but with the engine and transmission. The Schaumburg engine is a temporary purchase..

Is there something wrong with that rig? They traded a 2001 Pierce for a 1999 E-One. What was the thinking?

are they going down to just one engine????? or are they getting rid of both?? because for some time now, there has been other department rigs in their bays!!! also i’ve seen schaumburg’s reserve engine there which i thought was rather odd.
