The Daily Herald has an article announcing the new fire in Rolling Meadows.
After eight months as acting Rolling Meadows fire chief, Scott Franzgrote has been named to the position permanently.
Franzgrote, who has been with the department since 1990, has served as acting chief since the retirement of former chief Ronald Stewart.
His past roles with the fire department have included deputy fire chief, member of the dive team and EMS coordinator and training officer.
