There is a way Chris. It requires time and money. The digitizing and non-linear editing would take a professional editor about 6 hours to complete. Then I would have the finished file FTPd back to me so that I could play back the edited version through the RM911 system. Then I would be able to create the clips the way you would like them.

There has to be a way to splice the audio and make it so you dont have to spend time listening to silence. An example is part 2, there was like five minutes of traffic and twenty five minutes of nothing but silence. I mean there’s about fours hours of tape and how much is just silent or unrelated to the incident going on. Im glad you are able to tape it, but there has to be a way to condense it.
