Three firefighters were promoted to lieutenant at the Elmwood Park Village Board meeting Monday.
The room was filled with family, friends and supporters watching Matthew Doro, Michael Terzo and Matthew Conversa go through the swearing-in process at the July 20 board meeting.
New Elmwood Park Fire Chief Kevin Miller said they needed the positions filled and is happy with the three new lieutenants.
“They are the top three candidates and I’m very proud of them,” Miller said. “They tested well and I’m sure they’ll serve the residents with pride.”
