Here are a few pictures of the new E-One for Naperville Engine 3. We are in Hamburg, NY for the final inspection. Final inspection of the new Pierce will be in early May. We will be re-assigning a couple engines and saying goodbye to the Freightliner/E-ONE engines that have been our reserve rigs for many years.Andy Hilk

Very hot! I’ll take two without the bells and put the 4 grand in my pocket. Who will win the competition? Only time will tell.

I think the bell is a nice touch. While it doesn’t get used often, it’s a nice addition that adds character to the truck, especially for Naperville. Naperville has a lot of old buildings and quite a few historic buildings downtown and the bell compliments those. It’s also a throwback to when they did have bells on their trucks back in the early to mid-1900’s. With the number of parades the city has, I’d like to see Truck 1 get a bell.

to me the federal q should be on all engines trucks ambulances and squads and rescues but a bell to me is useless fd only seem to use the bell in parades so why spend the extra money otherwise it is a nice rig for being a red one

It’s nice to see a few engines getting replaced, especially the 2 busiest in the city. I’ve seen a picture from the final inspection of the rear of the truck, and it seems like quite a few changes have been made. The hosebed has been lowered, the ladders have been moved into a compartment, the Fed Q is back, and the bell is a nice feature. Anyone know where the Tanker-Engine will be going? I’m guessing either 2 6 or possibly even 10 seeing as how they have some brush in their districts. I Usually don’t like Typhoons, but this one looks nice!
