I was wondering why Bensenville chose to replace a Tower Ladder with a straight Aerial Ladder?

I read that Bensenville is joining ACDC in August, probably on their Fire North frequency.

Bensenville is not dispatched by Ducomm but are using the Du Page county station numbering.

If you look at the Radio Reference website, and look at the DuPage Wiki page that has a list of all the stations and numbering, you will see that there are gaps in the numbering system. Not every number, from 1 to 99, is being used at the current time.

I believe Bensenville is going with DuComm numbering which is why they are now 107 and 108. I believe 17 and 18 were NORCOMM Numbers.
Any one have any idea how many fire stations there are in DuPage county? It seems like they are at least able to go into the 120’s with Tri-State, and low 100’s with Downers Grove. I don’t think there are stations that number in the 100’s with Northwest Central or RED center. Correct me if I am wrong.

Is Bensenville changing the numbers on their apparatus? Not ladder 17?
