  Privatization does not appear to work long term. I am against the privatizing of any government,city or county job because what appears to be savings on one hand becomes a negative weight in the other hand. It’s almost like a smoke screen.

  Agreed! Keep 17!!!! How very sad that our mayor is more interested in saving money over ensuring the health and safety of its citizens. I fully trust that the number of recommended staff (17 as per union contract) is supported by statistics and ensures the safety of both the community (speedy and skilled response) as well as for the safety of the firefighters and paramedics who choose to put their lives on the line each and every day for us! I pray he doesn’t turn his attention to the police department next.

  Giving the ambulance to a private company is a disaster waiting to happen l,so is laying off firemen, use you’re head’s for something else other than a hat rack !
