This from Andy Russell:
The Buffalo Grove Fire Department has placed an order with E-One for a new engine (to replace 213/E28 the 1996 E-One) and a 78’ quint that will replace 236 (the 1996 E-One tower) and will run front line at Station 27. The 2003 KME 237 (Q27) will be placed in reserve at Station 25 as Q25 and will be the reserve truck. These are both production vehicles that were going to be demos before we bought them. Delivery is expected this fall/early winter.

Have departments been having issues with Ferrara apparatus recently, seems like there are more departments ordering Ferrara fire apparatus in the Chicago suburbs.

So I take it that Engine 26’s 2010 Ferrara will also become a reserve Engine. I can see them getting a new Quint to replace the Current HME Quint 27 however the Ferrara is only 6 years old and that a pretty short time for a front line rig to be in front line service. By most standards the Ferrara is still relatively new.
How has the Ferrara been running?

Why do they still use the 3 digit numbers on the rigs?

Funny how everything goes full circle. They were all e-one then got some KME, then Ferrara and now back to E-Ome. It’s just interesting to watch.

So Buffaio Grove will have Tower 235 2010 Ferrara as its tower ladder and will sell the 1996 tower and the new 78 quint will go into front line service and the KME quint as a spare?
