Glencoe was called to the construction site at 328 Tudor Court for a fire on the roof. Several pallets of styrofoam were burning which produced an impressive header with a good amount of smoke. Northfield and Winnetka had ladders to the roof with hand lines. Glencoe and Northfield were on hydrants. Wilmette dropped hose and made a hydrant but did not end up supplying water.
Highwood and Highland Park were also at the scene. One construction worker was transported by Glenview Ambulance 6 to Highland Park Hospital.

Every 28 days Glencoe rotates police/fire on shift. On the fire side they have 4 on a shift for 24 hours.

Rosemont has officers that are assigned to Fire or patrol. I believe it is on a year long basis. Patrol do not carry fire gear with them. Though in an emergency or large fire the patrol units can be recalled to the fire station where their gear is stored. Officers assigned to Fire can fill shifts on patrol and vice versa.

Kevin I think it is longer than a week, maybe a month. Not sure if the PD officers on the street on patrol still carry turnout gear with them or not

Is Glencoe like Rosemont where the staff can be either police officers or fire fighter one week the opposite the next?

I like that Glencoe PIERCE. You have to hand it to Glencoe to have almost the same paint design for their fire apparatus as their police vehicles. 🙂
