3-Alarm fire in Merrillville, IN 1-30-19

At 11:30 Wednesday (1/30/19), the Merrillville, Indiana Fire Department had a 3-Alarm fire at the Stanley Steamer Warehouse, 9154 Louisiana St. The building was a 75×300, 1-story, metal clad structure. The fire burned from the north end all the way through to the south. They had two aerials working on the north side of the building but I had no access to that side. The weather was a brutal; -14 degrees with sustained wind gusts of 23 to 30 mph.

Attic fire in Merrillville, IN – 6/7/15

This from Eric Haak:

Heavy weather moved across northwest Indiana Sunday afternoon resulting in this attic fire caused by a lightning strike. The fire was called in by the neighbor across the street and the resident was unaware his home was on fire. The resident was treated for smoke inhalation. The fire was quickly brought under control. Here are a few quick images.

Box Alarm in Merrillville, 2-7-15

I was working at a job site in Merillville when a box alarm was called a few blocks away. I stopped by after I was done and things were pretty much wrapped up, but I snapped a few pics.
