St. Charles firefighters were called to a house at 2010 Cambridge Dr shortly after noon on Tuesday (3-6-12) and found fire on the front porch of a two-story house. Heavy winds were pushing the fire into the house and the alarm was elevated to a MABAS Box Alarm.
The Batavia Patch reported that:
Six departments were called Tuesday afternoon to help battle a St. Charles house fire that sent one firefighter to the hospital.
The unnamed firefighter was treated and released from Delnor Hospital after suffering minor injuries while on the scene of the fire, located at 2010 Cambridge Drive.
John Tulipano went to the scene and:
I arrived in time for overhaul pictures, heavy fire on arrival completely burned the front wall all the way down to studs.
