New ambulance for Cicero

Here are photos of one of the Cicero Fire Department’s new ambulances. F-16, at the Town of Cicero’s 2016 National Night Out (8/2/16). This 2016 Ford F-450/AEV Type I ambulance replaces a 2007/2008 Ford E-450/Taylor-Made Type III ambulance. The other two front line ambulances (F-14/ F-15) have just been replaced as well, with identical F-450s. A new addition to these ambulances which has never been seen before on a Cicero ambulance is the reflective rear chevrons. Thanks. -Jeff Braun Jr. (COUNTY-WIDE FIRE PHOTOGRAPHY)

On July 3rd, 2016 the Cicero Fire Department received numerous calls of a structure fire at 38th and 58th Ave. at approximately 1600 hours. A full response was issued, with Engine 3 being first-due. They confirmed that this was a fully-involved garage fire at 3801 S. 58th Ave. The firefighters had a quick knock on the fire. The following units were on scene; Engine 2, Engine 3, Truck 1, Truck 2, Ambulance F-14, and Chief F-12. Engine 1 was C/Q to the 25th St. firehouse. Thanks!

Kitchen fire in Cicero, 6-7-16

Good Morning,

Tuesday (6/7/16) in Cicero there were reports of a stove fire, at 3322 S 60th Ct. The fire was called in at around 18:45 hours. Engine 3 arrived on scene reporting a small fire, and all companies continued in switching to fire-ground Red, except for Engine 1, who was C/Q to the Morton Park firehouse, after Berwyn 903 was released. Companies on scene were as follows: Engine 2, Engine 3, Truck 1, Truck 2, F-12, and F-14. Thanks for checking them out!

Within the past 2 years, Cicero has taken delivery of a new Pierce Dash CF engine and a Dash CF truck. They both run out of the same house on 34th street, the southside station. I was able to get a nice shot of both them this past weekend. Thanks to Asst. Chief Rick Moravecek and the fellas at Station 3.

Working fire in Cicero, 4-15-16

Cicero’s 2nd fire of the day (4-15-16), a 2.5 sty, wood frame at 6006 29th Street with some fire showing in the rear. Looked to be most of the fire was in the walls and attic. I arrived and took some pictures before command pulled the Box.

House fire in Cicero, 4/15/16

Cicero had a well involved house Friday morning (4/15/16) @ 3231 s 49th Ave. I arrived after the bulk of the fire was knocked. Engine 3 had two lines lead out and the new Truck 1 had their main to the roof. Crews made a great stop.

Cicero had a working fire @ 2347 s 50th ave Saturday night. F12 arrived to find fire showing from both B&D sides. They had two lines lead out and main to roof. Companies made a quick aggressive attack and knocked the fire fairly fast.
