Over the next few weeks, Chicago Heights will be training with our newly acquired tower truck. Expect to see it in use as we manipulate it around town to more accurately assess its impact on our city. Furthermore, we want to take this time to share an important update to our mission and vision statements – as well as emphasizing our core values.

 

MISSION STATEMENT: The City of Chicago Heights Fire Department is sworn to protect the lives and property of the citizens and visitors of Chicago Heights from disasters, both natural and man-made, with honor, integrity, and professionalism. Furthermore, we shall provide high-quality Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services and deliver effective fire prevention and public education programs. 

 

VISION STATEMENT: The Chicago Heights Fire Department shall provide service to its community stakeholders and surrounding communities in a professional and courteous manner, delivering exceptional emergency services that are the benchmark for all fire departments, emergency medical services and the like. We shall accomplish this goal by creating positive, lasting partnerships, investing in our personnel through education and training, and continuously evaluating the needs of the community and adapting to those needs with care and concern.
