It started North to South, West to East roughly. That’s why roughly Bartlett, Wego, and Warnville all kind of line up. From there it was kind of hit and miss and some departments picked stations that kind of lined up with numbers they were already using on rigs (Lombard 44 and 45, YC 77, Lisle Woodridge 51-55). Then it was just kind of a matter of what was left over that would work for what you had/needed.

Any idea how DuPage county assigned numbers to the FD’s. Did they go north to south? How did Bloomingdale get the 20’s while Roselle is 64 and 65. Glendale Heights is 58 and 59.
