What is the website?

Eric, thanks much anyway, this is some info I didn’t even expect to come across, the site is really unbelievable, where did you get all these data from if I may ask? Eric also if you want some pics of certain older shop rigs you may be still missing from the 1950s and 60s, I can try to help ya out with what I have, just let me know through my email, (the one which is on my website).
Eric again, thanks a lot for all the info, it was a great help to me.

David,
Unfortunately that’s all I have on G-313 at the moment. I think I may have come across a picture of the back of it, but unfortunately I didn’t grab a scan of it.

Does anyone know which one of the 2000 HME’s will go up for auction? Is the city going to keep one or two of the 2000 snorkels as spares? Are they going to keep at least one of the old boxes as a spare?

Eric, thanks a lot! Have found it on your site as well, so they were two different rigs, I wasn’t sure until today.
Eric also one more question, just noticed while browsing through your site that the CFD had some 1968 Dodge Tow Truck (G-313). Is there any photo of this rig you know about, or do you have any photo of this one?
Again thanks a lot!

David,
Thanks for the kind words! I have make/model/year information on about 90% of the fleet since numbering began. It’s the assignments that are definitely more difficult to keep track of.
According to my research, 7-5-3 was a similar looking 1978 Ford C (with body by General). It was G-422.

I remember when I down at 39th and honore where it was last housed I seem to remember it being a gas engine stick shift

Eric, thanks a lot for the info! Also just wondering, in the time gap between the purchase in 1978 and 1987 when it ran as an Air Mask Service rig wasn’t this chassis also used for the mobile lube truck 7-5-3 (officially called I think “Preventive Maintenance”) or it was a different rig?
By the way: just discovered that you have a really interesting site, researching the CFD shop numbers all the way back to the early 1900s, thats something one don’t see every day, keep up the great work.

In the 3rd pic next to the dept of sanitation trucks sits one of the HME/Central States squads.

David,
This was the last Ford C left in the CFD. Apparently it had several assignments. Originally was delivered as a spare chassis on 3/17/1978, it was being used by Air Mask Services as of 1987, and then became 5-1-1A sometime later that year. In the late 1990s or early 2000s it was identified as EMS Supply & Logistics 7-7-4, then back to Air Mask Services as 6-4-13. I don’t know when it became Special Operations 5-6-6, its final assignment.

Also when I’m thinking about it, this would be probably the last apparatus on the Ford C chassis retired from the CFD, or are there any other Ford C rigs still left on the roster??

I’m just wondering, isn’t this the same Ford C/Blitz which ran originally as Hazmat 5-1-1A from the late 80s? Also anybody knows if they’re gonna buy any replacement for this rig?
