This from Niko Stefani:
I happened to be right around the corner when an MVA came in on St. Mary’s Rd and Rt. 176 right in front of the Old School Forest Preserve (5/11/15). I only had my phone on me so sorry for poor quality. Companies on the scene from Libertyville included:
Ambulance 463Ambulance 461Quint Co. 462Engine Co. 461Battalion 46Per the arriving fire units, the victim was not injured but was entrapped in the vehicle. Also we see Libertyville with a new ambulance for Station 1.

Igor, what rig are you referring to? E462 is still around as a spare.

Libertyville doesn’t have the staffing to man everything. Their staffing is usually 5 people at station 1. 1 in the buggy 2 on the engine or tower and 2 on the ambulance. Stations 2 and 3 are 3 person jump companies, and for a while station 2 was just manned as a 2 person company.

Frank, Quint 462 is usually always the main rig responding from Station 2 since they do not man both Rescue 462 and Quint 462. Occasionally though for fires or major incidents they may use Rescue 462.

I think libertyville has some the nicest rigs in the area interesting how heavy rescue 462 was not on scene. Will be interesting to see what the next apparatus purchase will look like
