This from Kevin Griffin:
Sunday at about 3:27, the Tinley Park, Oak Forest, and Orland fire departments were toned out for a house fire at 6120 Jody Lane. Tinley Park Engine 202 was the first fire company on-scene with a 1-1/2 story house on fire. When I arrived about 10 minutes later, Oak Forest Engine 12 was opening the roof and Tinley Truck 204 was going to the roof, the fire was out at about 4:00. Companies on scene were Tinley Engines 201, 202, and 203 Truck 204 Oak Forest engine and ambulance 12 and Orland Truck 7and BC 1.

OF uses 11 and 12 when communicating directly with Orland Central on in town responses. They are still 900 series. This is done because the CAD system that orland uses for dispatch (“the voice”) is two digit numbers and not 3 digit.

Jim,
Oak Forest started using 11 & 12 for their apparatus numbers when they started being dispatched by Orland Central. It seems they use 11 & 12 for in-town responses and when they go into Orland and Tinley Park for auto-aid. They use the 900 series numbers for most other division 24 responses.

I know the stations doors are number that way for Oak forest but have the rigs been renumbered? is the radio traffic use these also? why did they change from the 900 numbers?
