I really am surprised that that the Ambulance at the “New” Station 44 is only manned when staffing permits as Milwaukee avenue has many commercial establishments and it is busy thoroughfare. It also makes more sense to one Ambulance available on the East Side and one on the West Side instead of both on the West Side and the “if staffing permits” Ambulance should be at one of the West Side Stations.

Is station 43 the most centrally located station for them? Is that why they decided to move the Truck to 43? What types of calls do the use the squad on?

Glad to see they will at least get to keep one of their old station numbers! I am guessing station 44 is the closest station to the airport. That is why it is getting the crash truck.

From what I’ve been told:
St 42: E42 A42 are staffed, E41 is a reserve
St 43: BC43 T43 A43 are staffed – S43 & A41 crossed staffed by T43
St 44: E44 is staffed – A44 is only staffed if staffing allows

Does anyone know the staffing numbers and if they have changed at all?

Is each station staffed with a fire company and an ambulance or is one of the stations a jump company?
