Chris – Do you remember when Chicago was buying Braun ambulances? They were awful! The structural integrity of the bodies were total junk and required all sorts of rework within a short time of them being in service.

I’m thinking maybe with the workload they have they just bought the cheapest and when it’s done get rid of it. When wheeled coach was like that I know a few big cities that did that. As soon as they left front line service they went to the scrap yard

Demers are very low end ambulances like their subsidiary companies, Crestline and Braun. Rockford should consider something else.

I’m sure Rockford switched to Demers since they can get ambulances within a much shorter period of time compared to the REV Group ambulances. There are other ambulance builders that are much higher quality than Demers and can be obtained within a fair timeframe. PL Custom, Lifeline, etc. Demers and their conglomerates with Braun and Crestline are some of the lowest quality ambulances out there.
