I remember that E/One Tower Ladder it was a 1988 model and it was the very Tower Ladder assigned to Tower Ladder 5 and a Twin went in service as the first Tower Ladder for Tower Ladder 34. The first one for Tower Ladder 63 also went in service however in “Airport Yellow”
They should have never taken Tower Ladder 34 out of service. I know that they took it out of service because they had a few accidents with railroad viaducts over the last several years, however Truck 34 had been a Tower Ladder for over 30 years and only over they last few years that have had accidents which tells me that it was most likely operator error. If having a Tower Ladder in service at Engine 72 and Truck 34 was such a bad idea Tower Ladder 34 wouldn’t have remained a Tower Ladder as long as it did.
If there are seriouse height clearance problems in Truck 34’s district then the CFD can order a mid mounted Tower Ladder which E/One manufactures.
I know that would a one of a kind rig if the CFD only orders one but what’s wrong if the CFD would order a midmounted Tower Ladder if low clearances are really that much of a problem in their district.

Thanks for the memories. I was a loyal subscriber for many years. For better or for worse, the internet pretty much put a stop my subscription. I would read it once and throw it in a box and forget about it.
